To assist you in preparing for your ceremony, I have included a simple basic structure to follow:
- 1. Enter the bride - chosen music
- 2. The Introduction/Welcoming
- 3. Reading/Readings by family member, friend, or celebrant
- 4. A monitum from the Marriage Act *
- 5. Giving away of the bride (optional)
- 6. The asking/vows ceremony *
- 7. The exchange of rings
- 8. Reading - by celebrant, family member,
- or friend
- 9. Declaration of marriage *
- 10. Signing of the register and certificate
- 11. Presentation of certificates to the couple
- 12. Recessional music
* These are legal requirements for all ceremonies
